NAPPS reaffirms commitment to innovation, Inclusive education on children’s day

By Akinnodi Francis, Ondo

The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to investing in innovation, teacher development, and value-driven learning, ensuring that every child—regardless of background—can reach their fullest potential.

The National President of NAPPS, Chief ‘Yomi Otubela, stated this while speaking with The Hope in Ondo in commemoration of the 2025 Children’s Day celebration.

Otubela said, “We extend our warmest wishes and heartfelt admiration to every child in every corner of our great nation.”

He noted that this year’s Children’s Day theme, “Nurturing Dreams, Building the Nation,” speaks powerfully to a collective duty. “It reminds us that the dreams we nurture in our children today will shape the Nigeria we all hope to see tomorrow.”

“Our children are our greatest treasure. Within them lie boundless creativity, imagination, and the seeds of progress. But for these dreams to grow and thrive, they must be nurtured with love, protected with care, and supported through quality education, safety, and equal opportunities.”

As educators, the NAPPS President reaffirmed the association’s strong commitment to building schools that go beyond teaching—to schools that inspire.

“We are committed to investing in innovation, teacher development, and value-driven learning so that every child, regardless of background, can reach their fullest potential.”

He also used the occasion to call on the government, policymakers, private sector players, various stakeholders, and parents to rise to the shared responsibility of building a child-friendly Nigeria.

“A Nigeria where no child is denied access to education due to poverty, insecurity, or neglect. A Nigeria where dreams are not only imagined but realised.”

“To our beloved children, you are the light of our homes and the pride of our future. We celebrate your laughter, your curiosity, your strength, and your hope. We urge you to never stop dreaming. Believe in yourselves, for you are not too young to make a difference. With discipline, courage, and faith, there is no limit to what you can achieve.”

Otubela urged parents to nurture their children, reminding them that raising a child is one of the most powerful ways to build a strong and prosperous nation.

“The future is already here—in our classrooms, in our homes, and in your hands.”
