NBTE accreditation team visits Millennium College of Health Tech

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has said it would continue to live up to expectation by accrediting programmes that meet the required standard in various Polytechnics, Monotechnics and Colleges under the board.

The NBTE accreditation team led by Mrs Hellen Oduntan, stated this during the accreditation verification/Resources inspection for Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes of the Millennium College of Health Technology, Akure.

The team particularly commended the management of the College over improved facilities necessary for the training of competent hands in the health sector.

Programmes inspected for accreditation included HND Environmental Health Technology, HND Health Information Management and National Diploma (ND) Dental Therapy.

The accreditation would enable HND graduates of the institution in those courses participate in the one year mandatory NYSC programme.

Speaking at the end of the three-day visit, the team leader, Mrs Oduntan, applauded the Board and Management of the college for the giant improvement the college has achieved within the last few years of its establishment.

The team equally urged the school management not to relent in its vision to make the institution become the best private college of health technology in Nigeria.

Earlier, the Provost of the college, Mr. Yeye Stephen, who welcomed the team on behalf of the board and management of the college, appreciated the leader and members of the accreditation team for their commitment and encouragement to ensure that the programmes of the college are fully accredited.

He informed the team that the college has latest facilities and equipments for the training of its students, just as he listed some of the facilities to include good structures, laboratories, demonstration room and ground, standby 25KVA generator, adequate and conducive classrooms, ICT centre, modern library, hostel accommodation and auditorium among others.
