NDDC begins rehabilitation of Ode Aye roads

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has began total rehabilitation of failed and bad sections of some major roads in Ode Aye community to ease transportation and improve business activities.

The rehabilitation of about three kilometres of roads which is being handled by BACOY Construction Company are one of the many road projects that is going on in the state under the auspices of NDDC .

While speaking on the development, Comrade Oyeniyi Iwakun, National Coordinator, Ikale Youths Movement (IYM)lauded the government for embarking on such projects which he said will boost economic growth of the community.

Iwakun added that the road projects will yield fruitful results in line with the Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s policy on building strong and reliable economy through the transportation sector.

In a similar vein, Pastor Daisi Olaseeni, a community leader and an All Progressives Congress stalwart in the town, commended the effort of the State government and that of the NDDC in providing succour to the affected road users.

He however admonished the people to see the ongoing projects in the community as a good step in the right direction.

The projects are expected to cover the streets of Ladawo, Surulere and Adegborioye all in Ode Aye township.
