The Ondo State government is leaving no stone unturned to align its developmental efforts with the thematic areas of the Economic Recovery Agenda prescribed by the National Economic Council (NEC) for the development of the sub-national.

The state Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan disclosed this recently while conducting the Implementation Monitoring Committee Team of the National Economic Council of Nigeria round some key projects of the State Government.

Some of the landmark projects visited were the 500-bed project at the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo; the 70,000 hectare oil Palm Plantation at Ore (a Public -Private Project); several dual-carriage and other roads and networks, Medical and Commodity Stores, among others.

Igbasan stated that THE REDEEMED Agenda of the administration of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is poised to transform the state economically in addition to sustaining its commitment to human capital development.

He welcomed the monitoring team to the state and applauded the initiative and guidance of the NEC towards the development of the subnational.

In similar vein, the Senior Special Assistant on Agrobusiness, Pastor Akin Olotu said Palm produce could take Nigerian economy out of the woods in a matter of few years if properly harnessed.

He added that the position of President of African Development Bank, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina that the future looks promising for the youth in agriculture is fast becoming a reality.

He assured that the state government would sustain its effort and collaboration to promote agriculture.

The Managing Director of J.B Farms, Mr. Ajibola Adebutu said the farm engaged not less than 2,000 workers while its ripple effects is substantial.

According to him, over 20000 workers would be employed when the farm starts full scale production.
