New Church Grammar School, Owo, celebrates 60th Anniversary

New Church Grammar School, Owo,  will celebrate her 60 years of existence on December 5, 2022.

The school was established on  February 5, 1962.

The programme which is being sponsored by the school’s Old Students’ Association, will be held at the school Auditorium, starting from 10.00 am.

According to the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee of the Anniversary Celebration, Chief Adedipe Ijaluwoye, the old students are celebrating the 60th anniversary for the success of the school and the impact of the old students on their Alma Mater.

Chief Adedipe disclosed that the association (New Church Grammar School Old Students’ Association) has done a lot to make the school look better and excel in academics.

According to him, some of the projects done by the old students included the construction of the school new gate, laboratories for Chemistry, Biology and Physics, renovation of the schools Administrative Block, Perimeter Fencing and Intro-Tech, Woodwork workshops.

The school has produced many eminent personalities who have excelled in all spheres of human endeavours.

Some of the old students are, the current Chief of Staff to the Ondo State Government, Chief Olugbenga Ale, The Aare Atunluse of Owo Kingdom, Prince Rotimi Ibidapo, MON, and many others

The anniversary which promises to be a spectacular one, has Chief Olugbenga Ale as the Chairman, Logistics and Protocol Committee, Chief Adedipe Ijaluwoye, Media and Publicity Committee,  Pastor Olumolawa Olugbenga, Chairman Anniversary Committee while Adewale Olagbaye Doherty is the President of the Association.
