New dawn as Sunshine Stars unveil Coach

All roads led from Nassarawa State to Ondo state as Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure signed and officially unveiled coach Kabir Sulaiman Dogo as its technical adviser ahead of the 2019 Nigeria professional football league season.

The former Nasarawa United gaffer was unveiled at the Ondo State Football Agency Game Village in Oda.

Chairman, Ondo State football agency, Mr Tajudeen Akinyemi during the unveiling charged the new handler and other technical team to redouble their effort in repositioning the team.

He said the signing of the new technical manager has put an end to the misinformation making round the State that Sunshine Stars has been disbanded, saying Sunshine only undergone reorganisation to allow new players to come in.

Recalled that Sunshine Stars FC finished 18th on the log last season , if not that the league ended abruptly Sunshine Stars would have been relegated .

“We want to get good results that is why we call on Dogo to come and bring his experience to bear in the team, he has been with Nassarawa in the last five years and took them to Continental”

Akinyemi added that the agency will do all it takes to support the team to achieve success ,saying they will embark on stakeholders meeting and embark on aggressive sensitisation programmes to curb high level of thuggery at the Stadium.

He promised improved welfare packages for the team to serve as motivation for the team.

Responding, coach Kabiru Dogo during the media chat thanked the management of ODSFA for the opportunity to serve and promised to sacrifice more for the overall success of the team.

He said with the help of God and cooperation of every Football stakeholder in Ondo State I believed Sunshine Stars can still come back to where they really belong in Nigerian Professional Football league (NPFL)

He therefore appealed to the ODSFA Management to live up to their promise of making his players welfare a top most priority, saying no coach can achieve any success without a well motivated players .

The former Nassarawa gaffer who described his choice of Sunshine stars as an act of God, is not about money rather where he is loved most , there are lot of teams out there with a god offer but they may not love me the same way, Sunshine Stars will love, you have showed you love to me and I have to reciprocate it by signing the dotted lines today.

Also, team captain sunshine stars Sunday Abe assured the new technical crew of the Players’ full support.

The new Technical crew has Abiodun Akadiri as the Technical director, Mr Abubakar Sulaiman Dogo Technical Adviser, Seun Betiku Team Manager, head Coach Kayode Julius, Media Officer Chris Okunnuwa and others .
