New IPAC executives tasked on deepening democracy

The newly elected executive members of the Inter-Party Advisory Council ( IPAC) in Ondo State, have been advised to see their new positions as a call to service in consolidating and deepening democracy.

The National Organizing Secretary of the council, .Mr Wale Martins , gave the change during the swearing-in of the new executives in Akure.

Martins asked them to ensure an environment that is conducive for successful elections, political stability, enduring democracy and overall wellbeing of Nigerians

He called on them to be more democratic in the conduct of their activities in ensuring discipline, peace, unity, understanding as well as transparency and credibility in the electoral processes;

The executives include Prince Olaoluwa  Adesanya ( Chairman), Mrs. Remilekun  Ojo (Deputy Chairman), Mr, Alex Adeniyi (Secretary), Dr Ajulo ( Publicity. Secretary), Ifedayo  Akintelure (Organizing Secretary), Dr.Falaye  Ajibola (legal Adviser) and Oloro Felix (Treasurer).

The election, which was held at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC ), Akure under the supervision of the Resident Electoral Commissioner. Mrs. Oluwatoyin Babalola had 19 political parties participated in the polls.

In his acceptance speech, the State Chairman of IPAC, Prince Olaoluwa  Adesanya, promised to operate an open door policy that will deepen democratic setting and take the country to greater height.

Adesanya added that the victory is for all registered political parties and the state in general.
