New ODHA Complex for commissioning

The newly renovated Ondo State House of Assembly complex will be commissioned next week Thursday.

The Speaker of the House, Bamidele Oleyelogun announced yesterday during a plenary that the chamber will be commissioned by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu

The Speaker therefore constituted an adhoc Committee for the commissioning headed by the Deputy Speaker, Samuel Aderoboye and commended the Governor for the facelift of the complex.

Also, a bill for a law to provide for the establishment of the Ondo State Security Trust Fund (ODSTF) and other connected purposes 2022 has been committed to the House committee on Security for scrutiny.

Similarly, the 2023-2025 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and the amendment of year 2022 appropriation law were committed to the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation after scaling through the second reading.

Meanwhile, the House also approved the resignation of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) membership letter of  Tomide Akinribido, a Lawmaker representing Ondo West Constituency 1 after a motion was moved by the Majority Leader of the House,  Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi and seconded by a member representing Okitipupa State Constituency 2 Ololade Gbegudu.

In a letter written to the House and read by the Clerk on the floor of the House, Jayeola Benjamin, Akinribido said that this became necessary due to the merger of the structure of ZLP in the state to the PDP and requested that his particulars, mails and others should bear People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The Minority Leader of the House, Rasheed Elegbeleye during the plenary welcome him to the PDP.
