A newborn baby, has been abandoned beside a popular bar in Okitipupa, very close to the main market.
The Hope Metro gathered that the baby girl was found unclothed, with mud and sands spluttered around her, shortly after the morning rain.
The infant was later taken to the State Specialist Hospital in the Okitipupa Local Government area where she has been kept under observation and equally receiving treatment.
Speaking with our correspondent, Mrs Justinah Odusola , who is in charge of Women Affairs, Social Development Department at Okitipupa local government, confirmed the incident.
She assured that the development would be communicated to the State Government for action to be taken in enhancing the child’s welfare.
Also, the Jegun of Idepe , Oba Batuga Michael Adetoye expressed his concern over the discovery.
He, therefore, advised youths to be well behaved and cautious in their actions.
The royal father advised the youths to neglect immoral acts like premarital sexual affairs that can truncate their future.
He cautioned parents and advised them to fulfil their parental responsibilities to their children. Emphasizing the need for proper education, and training their wards with positive values.
