‘Newly commissioned stalls ‘ll boost economic devt’

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has inaugurated the newly constructed lock-up shops and open market stalls at Ehin-Ogbe market in Owo.

He said the market would boost the financial stability of the people in the area, the council and the state in general.

The Governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Adegboyega Adefarati, stated that the market would boost economic development in the area.

Also, Chairman of Owo Local Government, Samuel Adegbegi said the modern market was a praiseworthy initiative that would add value to people’s lives.

He commended the governor for approving life-changing projects in the ancient town.

He urged market women to take advantage of the Lock-up shops and open market stalls, and he thanked His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye II, the Olowo of Owo, for his assistance in development projects.

The Chairman added that Governor Akeredolu had already approved the procurement of 18 graders for the council to ease the transportation of farm products from rural areas to metropolitan centres.

He advised residents of Owo to pay their taxes on time in order to continue enjoying greater social amenities.
