NGO flags off second quarter care outreach

A Non-Governmental Organisation, Dorcas and Joseph Charity Organisation, has flagged off its second-quarter care outreach ceremony.
The NGO distributed gift items to orphans to ensure they have a sense of belonging and to assure them that they are not forgotten.
The epoch-making ceremony took place at the Hope Orphanage Home headquarters, Hope Avenue, Shagari Village, Irese Road, Akure, the capital of Ondo State.
The Chief Executive Officer of the organisation, Comrade Folorunso Oladipo, expressed boundless joy because the group is determined to reach out to the immediate society and bring smiles to the faces of those facing challenges, pains, lack, and helplessness.
He stated that the organisation’s mission is to use its wide scope to jointly raise funds from its partners, organise positive life-changing, and informative programmes for people in the society to inform and reorientate their mindset on what poverty truly means.

As a humanitarian group, the objective of the organisation is to empower rural communities with educational programs on climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction.
The charity organiaation is also dedicated to empowering young people through supportive programs, generating wealth through widow empowerment, capacity building, and student empowerment through scholarships.
Furthermore, the organisation aims to reach out to the less privileged, orphans, and teenagers without guidance, raising emergency support for the physically challenged and providing assistance to the needy.
During his speech, Chairman of the occasion, Pastor Ayo Ikulamberu, emphasised the need for the CEO to be proactive in realising the big dream entrusted to him.
Mr. Tayo Ojueromi commended the CEO for his significant efforts and urged him to maintain transparency, prudence, accountability, and a high level of integrity in running the organisation with passion and vigor.
He appealed to well-meaning Nigerians and international organisations to extend their philanthropic gestures to the charity home in cash and kind to ensure the visions do not fade away.
Dignitaries at the event included Pastor Ayo Ikulamberu, Evangelist Tayo Ojueromi, Pastor Sunday Oniyesan, Mrs.Lawal Alaba, Mrs Olubunmi Ajulo, among others.
