Niger tanker explosion: 20 victims on danger list 

No fewer than 20 victims of the recent Suleja tanker explosion have been admitted at Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital in Abuja.

This followed an urgent directive from President Bola Tinubu for the immediate transfer of victims to tertiary medical centers for better care.

A statement from the Ministry of Information and National Orientation, released on Monday, confirmed the action.

The statement also stated that two additional victims were transferred to the Federal Medical Centre in Jabi.

Mr. Rabiu Ibrahim, the Minister’s media aide, assured the public that the Ministry will monitor the situation closely and provide regular updates.

“In line with the directive of President Bola Tinubu for the swift transfer of victims of the Suleja fuel tanker explosion to tertiary medical centers for enhanced medical attention, 20 patients have been admitted to Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital in Abuja.

“Similarly, two additional patients have been transferred to the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, Abuja.

“A nurse and family members accompanied all the patients to the designated referral centers to ensure seamless care.

“The Niger State Government has expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for its prompt and effective response to this unfortunate incident
