Nigeria needs God’s help- Bishop Agara

The Bishop of the Anglican Diocese, Idoani,Rt Revd Adegoke Oluwadare Agara has said the church is stepping up efforts to draw Nigerians back to God.
He stated this when he and other members of the Diocese paid a visit to Owena Press, publisher of The Hope newspaper, yesterday.
Th cleric who commended the giant strides recorded recently by the newspaper, solicited the cooperation of the company for the coming Annual Synod of the church.
He said the Synod with the theme “Our God Will Help Us”, will hold from on Thursday July 29 to August 1, 2021 at Idoani.
On the theme of the Synod, the Bishop said “the world at large need God’s help. We can not shy away from the fact that Nigeria needs God. If not for God, we don’t know what would have become of Nigeria especially during the pandemic period.”
Also speaking, the Asiwaju of Idoani, Otunba Dele Olapeju said he was delighted on the success story of The Hope Newspaper being able to survive many hiccups since its inception, saying it has lived up truly to its name. He said the Idoani Diocese, the youngest Anglican diocese in Nigeria is happy to partner with the company. He said the Diocese has adopted The Hope as its official newspaper .
In his remarks the Chairman/Editor-in-Chief of Owena Press Ltd, Sir Ademola Adetula said the church , the representative of God on earth should never lose its focus.
Represented by the Editor of The Hope Newspaper, Mr Akindele Adubuola, Adetula said with the situation of things in the country, the church should rise and take its place to rescue Nigeria from the precipice.
He appreciated the Bishop for the visit and also congratulated them for their upcoming synod .
He promised that the company would partner with the church and wished them success
