Nigerian born defender, Akinsola Azeez Akinyemi has completed his move to top Israeli side Maccabi Netanya ahead of new season.
The 27 year old defender joined from Bulgarian side Lokomotiv Plodiv after guiding them to win the country’s FA Cup last season.
A product of Valerenga youth side in Norway, Akinyemi can also operate at both left and right backs.
Maccabi Netanya who unveiled the experienced centre back described him as the needed missing link in their side. Akinyemi who has played for Norway national team youth side is eligible to play for Nigeria.
He is the son of President of Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, Sunshine Stars, Alhaji Tajudeen Akinyemi.
