NIS Comptroller, Aideyan, bows out of service

The Comptroller of Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Ondo State Command, CIS Ibong Osato Aideyan has bow out of active service.
The pulling out parade took place at the Command’s Headquarters along Igbatoro Road, Akure.
Aideyan, who was the Ondo NIS command and one other were pulled out of active service after 35 years of meritorious service.
The Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who was represented by his Senior Special Assistance (SSA) on Security Matters, Alhaji Jimoh Dojumo, described Aideyan as a very active officer, ‘one can always rely on,’ adding that the state enjoyed the service she rendered.
“Retirement from active duty is natural and inevitable end of service for every serving personnel and it begins to count from the day you join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
Dojumo urged her successor to sustain the good legacies and continue to build on the achievements on ground.
The pulling out parade which was part of the military tradition for retired senior officers, was well attended by all Service Chiefs and senior personnel in the state.
Speaking with The Hope Metro, Aideyan, said “I feel honoured, my joy is complete. I feel fulfilled after 35 years of movement from one state to another, leaving the family behind and all the issues that came with the job,. So, all glory goes to God.
Aideyan narrated, “My worst moment during service was a time I headed a command at the peak of kidnapping, banditry, illegal mining in Osun State.
“That was when I was an Acting Controller in Osun State, after the then Controller retired and I had to hold the Command before anyone was sent in.
“So, I acted for four months and then, we were at the height and peak of the Command’s activities and there were so many stories in the media.
“Thank God we controlled the situation.”
Also speaking with The Hope Metro, husband of the outgone Comptroller, Barr. Osato Aideyan expressed gratitude that his wife is coming back home after lending her to Nigeria for 35 years.
