NLO banishes Akure City to Ilorin

Akure city football club were yesterday banished to Ilorin by the Nationwide League One (NLO).

They were axed following the team’s disruption of match between the club and Rising Star football club.

The intimidation and harassment of match official according to the NLO, were reported during the League one match between the two neighbouring teams at the Ondo State Sport Complex, last week Thursday .

In a letter signed by the Chief operating officer of the NLO, Ogunshola Ogunowo , NLO also awarded  3 points and 3 goals to Rising Stars .

Akure City also fine one hundred thousand naira that must be paid before their next home match while they will also pay eighty thousand naira for the damaged mobile  phone of the media officer of the NLO.
