Former Chairman of Ondo State Football Agency and Director General of Sunshine Stars Football Club, Otunba Akinshola Akinbobola has cleared the air on rumour going round that Ondo State Government has signed a five years agreement with Benny Kings way Global LTD on management of the club .
Akinbobola in a statement, said it was untrue that government signed such agreement with Benny Kingsway Global LTD on management of Sunshine Stars for five years.
According to him, ” the fact of the matter was that the government partnered with Kika Sports Logistics facilitated by Benny Kings way Global towards sourcing funds, equipment and bringing in foreign scouts and other facilities for Sunshine Stars football Academies, which would be established in all the 18 Local Governments of the State”.
The former ODSFA boss, “reiterated that Benny Kingsway only facilitated the partnership and has nothing to do with the management of Sunshine Stars FC.
“Its mandate is to arrange reputable sponsors for Sunshine Stars Academies which soon be made public in each Local government of Ondo State, it was a pure miss-reprentation,” he said.
