By Josephine Oguntoyinbo

Ondo State House of Assembly has dismissed a report that there was a plot to commence impeachment move against Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
This was contained in a statement signed and made available to The Hope by the Chairman House Committee on Information, Akogun Gbenga Omole after the assembly’s parliamentary session.
The House denied a report that the Speaker’s lodge was under siege during the parliamentary meeting, saying that ” The news is a hoax .
“The lordge was never under siege, the armed policemen sighted were at some distance away and were to maintain peace, law and order.
The statement read: “There is a robust relationship between the executive arm of government and the legislature, whatever has been planted in the media in recent times are the handwork of fifth columnists”.
The Assembly therefore passed a resolution banning members from speaking with Journalists without making a recourse to the Speaker, noting that the only authorised person to speak on behalf of the House is the Chairman House Committee on Information.
On the issue of the N4.3 billion under scrutiny, the Assembly passed a resolution that all relevant documents should be submitted to the House Committee on Public Account and Committee on Finance and Appropriation respectively.
