NPFL 2024/25: We’II fight to regain lost points – Sunshine Stars Coach
Sunshine Stars Technical Adviser, Kennedy Boboye says he is not happy with the result of the match-day three of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) against Abia Warriors.
Sunshine Stars played a barren draw against Abia Warriors at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium Ijebu Ode.
This is as he said his plan was to win the encounter to move up the ladder of the NPFL log.
Boboye, who stated this in his post match interview averred that Sunshine Stars will continue to push, adding that they will go out and fight like wounded lions to regain the point lost at home.
The ex-International said: “We have put the outcome of the match behind us, it’s done and dusted, our target now is the next game against Akwa United.
“The game was very tough; we played against a good team but it’s still a mirage how two goals were disallowed and we had another penalty that was not given.
The two-time NPFL winner introduced Sodiq Ibrahim, Elmer Arunta to replace Seidu Salisu and Ismail Ayodele in search of goals that never came.
Moments later Boboye brought out Opeoluwa Olufemi and Promise Awosanmi for Lucky Vandy and Chinedu Nwosu to mount more pressure on the visitors while Abdulazeez Ajagbe came in for Seth Mayi.
The result placed Sunshine Stars fourth on the log and next visit Uyo to face Akwa United.
