As the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) winded up, Sporting Lagos, Doma United, Gombe United and heartland have all relegated to the lower league.

The teams will compete in the lower league next season after they were unable to garnner enough points to retain their elite league status.

Sporting Hope understands that Sporting Lagos were 17 on the log with 46 points, While Doma United ended the season on 18 position with 44 points while Heartland,Gombe United finished the season 19, 20 on the log with 38 and 25 points respectively.

The 2023/24 league champions, Enugu Rangers scooped 70 points from 38 matches to represent Nigeria at the CAf Championship alongside Remo Stars who were second with 65 points .

Enyimba International and the winners of the President Federation Cup between Abia Warriors and El-Kanemi Warriors slated for Saturday 29th will also represent Nigeria at the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Elephant of Aba were third in the league with 63 points .
