Hostility continues in the Abridged Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) as Sunshine Stars host Doma United in the mid-week encounter.
They had played 1-1 with their visitors in the first leg of the league at Pantami Stadium, Gombe State .
Sunshine Stars retained third position on the group B table after played 1-1 draw with Wikki Tourists in the match day 10, while Doma United maintained fifth position after defeating Lobi Stars on Sunday.
The match day 11 host will consolidate on their away draw against Wikki Tourists to defeat their visitors at the Ondo State Sports complex, Akure.
Some of Sunshine Stars fans in a chat with Sporting Hope in Akure, said they were not expecting anything from the home team other than three maximum points. “We want Sunshine Stars to defeat their visitors silly today,”they said.
Mr Adekunle Adigun who said he has been following Sunshine Stars more than two decades added that the current team is making him happy. “There is a great improvement in the team, all we are praying for is that they should keep the momentum going, we also want the coaching crew to ensure they work on goal scoring.”
Mr Dauda Ikulanmberu thanked the management of the team for listening to the fans by fortifying the team with fresh legs.
He said: “When I heard that Sunshine Stars have signed additional six new players into the team ,I was very happy and I’m eager to see them soar higher in the league and claim their rightful position in the league, we were once one of the teams in the Africa, with the way they are playing there is hope for new chapter in the team.”
Sunshine Stars had fortified the team with six players namely, Emotan Cletus Eba Attacking Midfielder from, Shooting stars FC who scored an equaliser for the Akure Landlords in his debut.
