NPFL match day 15: our super six pursuit on course —Sunshine Stars coach

Sunshine Stars coach Edith Agoye has reiterated the commitment of his side to play in the super six. “We believe so much in the dream of the super six.”

Agoye stated this after the Akure Landlords defeated Lobi Stars of Markurdi 1-0 via 21minutes David Onovo goal in the match days 15 of the Abridged Nigeria Premier Football League decided at the Ondo State Sports complex,Akure.

The coach added that today’s victory over Lobi Stars has brought his side back to contention for the super six, saying he was happy that they defeated their group leader.

“lobi is currently leading our group and for them to top the table for weeks means they are a strong team that know how to play the game.

“We are happy to defeat them and get the maximum point.

“Today’s match is our first win in the second stanza of the league, we still have four more games to play, one at home and three away.

“We will give everything legitimately to ensure we play in the super six that will determine the teams that will represent the country continentally.

Lobi stars coach, Muhammed Babaganaru said it was a good outing for him team, saying the players played very well.

He said: my players showed character on the field of play, our super pursuit is in cause, if you look at the table, you will see that our position is not bad, we will keep working hard, he said.

Sunshine Stars currently sit on the fifth position on the group B log with 21 points having a match at hand against Rivers United while Lobi stars are topping the table with 26 points from 15 matches.
