Sunshine Stars Football prodigy, Chinedu Nwosu has expressed his gratitude to God Almighty, the technical crew headed by Kennedy Boboye, and the senior players in the team for the opportunity given him to show what he has in store for the team.
Nwosu told Sporting Hope after he scored twice in Sunshine Stars’ 2-1 victory over Remo Stars FC on matchday 37 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in Akure, that he had been in the club for months without an opportunity to play.
“Despite the fact that I’m not playing, I continued working hard by focusing on my training without any distractions from any angle because I’m optimistic that my time will come,” he said.
The graduate of Akure Secondary Commercial School added that this is just the beginning for him, as long as the coaches continue giving him the opportunity to play, he would always contribute to the team’s success.
“With God on my side, I will always play with my heart for the Sunshine Stars,” he stated.
“I thank our coach Kennedy Boboye and all the senior players in the team for their support and encouragement; they all inspired me positively.”
“There are lots of good players out there who do not have a platform to showcase their talent, which is why I’m thanking the Ondo State Government and the management of Sunshine Stars for providing this platform for me and others to show the world our God-given talents,” Nwosu concluded.
