NPFL matchday eight: SunshineStars 2-2 Enugu Rangers

Goals from Yusus Ibrahim and Moses Omodumeke were not enough for Sunshine Stars to grab the needed maximum points.
Enugu Rangers drew the first blood in the third minute of the match day eight of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter decided at the Ondo State Sports complex,Akure.
Ten minutes later, Ibrahim Yusuf brought Sunshine Stars back into the game having scored a clinical goal to draw level with the visitors.
Sunshine Stars were dominating, dictating and mounting pressure on their visitors to get a lead ,which was unsuccessful as Rangers were up to the task in dealing with the Akure Landlords antics.
The first stanza of the entertaining encounter ended in a draw.
Sunshine Stars were relentless in search for a lead by continuing their pressure on their visitors.
Moses Omodumeke made it two for Sunshine Stars from a beautiful cross from his team mate.
They kept the lead till 90 minutes, before scoring an own goal to end the game in 2-2 draw .
In his post match interview, Sunshine Stars coach, Edith Agoye said the dying minute equaliser was very tough to accept, saying the game was in their hands but let it go with lack of concentration.
He said: It happens in football, some times it favours you and other time against, what can we do, we just have to accept and move on.
Enugu Rangers coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu said “never say die, that was what happened today, we kept pushing and finally we got a point here”.
