NPFL MD 31: Draw against Heartland bad result for us– Sunshine Stars Chief Coach

By Femi Atolagbe
S unshine Stars’ Chief Coach, Bobola Akinfolarin has disclosed that the outcome of the match day 31 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), against Heartland FC was not a good result for his side.
Akinfolarin said considering the current position of the club in the league, sharing points at home was outrageous.
He stated this after the Akure-based club played a goalless draw against Heartland FC at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode.
According to him, “this is not a good result at all, with just seven matches remaining; but we will keep pushing to see what is going to happen at the end of the season.”
Sunshine Stars played a goalless draw with the Naze Millionaires with the hosts missing several goal scoring opportunities.
Heartland FC head coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, in his post match said the tie was a very tough game for both sides considering the situation of the two clubs.
The former Nigeria International said, “Every team’s target is to pick maximum points; we had some chances we could have converted sadly, we failed to do so.
“Sunshine Stars will next lock horns with Lobi Stars, another struggling club, in match day 32”.
