Remo Stars Football Club yesterday defeated Sunshine Stars 1-0 in the matchday 37 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) decided at the Ondo State Sports complex, Akure.
The first stanza of the southwest derby ended in a goaless draw, despite many goals chances rued by the visitors. The only Sunshine Stars chance in the first half came from Samson Olasupo .
Former Sunshine Stars midfielder, Ekundayo Ojo wasted no time in scoring against his former side 13th minute into the restart of the encounter.
The remainder of the match recorded no goal as Remo Stars went away with all the points.
