Fifty minute goal from Promise Awosanmi was not enough to earn Sunshine Stars maximum points in Akure.
The first half of the Matchday 31 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) played at the Ondo State Sports Complex, Akure, ended in draw, while Sunshine Stars missed many goal scoring chances.
Awosanmi was brought down at the edge of the vital area, while Taiwo Rafiu stepped in to take free-kick, but his effort sailed wide from Coopers deflection.
Sunshine Stars continued their domination in the second stanza of the encounter but were not able to convert from chances created.
Enyimba International got a leveller in the 71 minutes through a quick corner.
The home team’s efforts to restore their lead met a brick wall as Enyimba International Goalkeeper, Olorunleke Ojo displayed his expertise with his brilliant saves in the encounter.
The entertaining NPFL encounter ended up 1-1 in Akure with Sunshine Stars currently sit 16 on the log with 36 points.
