NPFL: Sunshine Stars’ match day two postponed

The enthusiastic fans of Sunshine Stars FC across the state wont be able to watch their rebranded team’s match day two home game against Lobi Stars of Markurdi in the new NPFL season due to the postponement by the league Management Company (LMC ).
The club announced the change in schedule via its Twitter handle.
Our match day two NPFL home match with @LobiStars has been postponed from Wednesday 16 Jan. 2019.
The new date for the tie will be announced in due course. The tweet read.
According to the initial schedule, the Akure Landlords were billed to host the Benue side on matchday two at the Ondo State Sports Complex, but the fixture will get a new date due to Lobi Stars’ continental engagement.
With the postponement of the game , the Kabiru Dogo side who shared the spoils against Kwara United on matchday one will now set their focus on the next away game against Rangers in Enugu.
The much anticipated first home game of the season will eventually lit up the city of Akure by January 23, when they entertain Rivers United.
Sunshine Stars currently sit third with one point in group B of the abridged league.
