NPFL: Sunshine Stars ready for new season – Commissioner

Ondo State commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mr Bamidele Ologunloluwa has expressed the readiness of Sunshine Stars Football Club ahead of the 2023/24 season league opener against newly promoted Kano Pillars.
The commissioner said players and officials of the club are ready to compete in the NPFL season slated to commence tomorrow.
He stated this in a chat with newsmen in Akure,the state capital on Thursday.
Ologunloluwa added that fans of the club should expect a good outing from the team, assuring that players will not let their supporters down.
He said: “The players are fully prepared for the 2023/2024 NPFL season, we are very much ready to host and devour Kano Pillars tomorrow”.
The Team Manager of sunshine stars, Seun Betiku added that Sunshine stars have recruited new players to fortify the team for better performance.
Recalled that Sunshine Stars FC ended the 2022/23 season fourth on the league log.
Meanwhile the team will also unveil the newly recruited players for the new season before the league opening match kick off on Saturday against Kano Pillars.
The Management of the team urges relevant football stakeholders, fans and well wishers to come out en – masse and support the team as the gate will be thrown Open for spectators.
