NPFL U-17 Tournament: Sunshine Stars’ coach optimistic ahead of Shooting encounter

Sunshine Stars’ U-17 Team Head Coach, Shade Akinrolabu, has shifted focus to the second match of the NPFL Youth League against its South West counterpart, Shooting Stars FC U-17 team of Ibadan.

Akinrolabu stated this after Sunshine Stars a 2-2 draw against Sporting Lagos in the first match of the Group D zonal elimination in Ikere.

Sunshine Stars came back twice from behind to take a point from the game.

Afolabi Omobolaji struck a beautiful free kick in the first half to level the game for Sunshine Stars and later equalised for his team in the second half after trailing behind early in the second stanza.

Akinrolabu said the team would continue with the tempo to ensure that his team qualify from the group.

Earlier, Remo Stars U-17 had defeated Shooting Stars U-17 3-2 to lead the group into the second match day.

Sunshine Stars U – 17 will trade tackles with Shooting Stars FC U – 17 today by 10:am.
