NPFL WK 10: Sunshine Stars, defeat Sporting Lagos, return to winning ways

Sunshine Stars football club yesterday, defeated Sporting Lagos 1-0 in the match day 10 of the Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL to return to winning ways after about five matches.
Moses Omodumeke struck in the 28 minutes to put Sunshine Stars ahead in the encounter decided at the Ondo State Sports complex Akure on Sunday.
Sporting Lagos Goal Keeper was well positioned to deny the Akure Landlords in many occasions with home team firing missiles front and back in attempt to extend their lead.
Both teams came out in the second half with renewed energy to outdo each other with their display of football artistry.
The second half recorded no goal as Sunshine Stars kept the three maximum points in the kitty.
Sunshine Stars currently occupied 11th position on the log with three wins, four draws, and three losses to garner 13 points from ten matches played.
Sunshine Stars Head Coach, Edith Agoye said he thanked God for the three maximum points, saying there is no more home advantage in the league, any team can win in a way and also loss at home.
He added that his crew will go back to the drawing board to work on goal scoring.
Sporting Lagos coach, Paul Offor said he remains focused on his job , adding that he has no issues with the officiating.
He added that injury sustained by his players will not have any effect on his teams game plans.
“Although we are yet to know the extent of their injury, but whatever it is, we have 25 players in the team and they were signed to play, so we have people that can replace the injured players”, he said.
