A 27-year-old man, Oluwayomi Temitope, who recorded a video and threatened to post online the sexual act between him and his side chick, has been nabbed by men of the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC.
He was apprehended after a sting operation for cyber stalking and blackmailing the lady identified as Miss Olajumoke, after extorting money from her as a condition not to post the video online.
It was gathered that on many occasions, the suspect threatened the victim that he would post the recorded video of their sexual act.
Temitope who lives at No. 24, Abusoro , Ijoka, Akure was arrested for regular sexual harassment of the victim for a very long time.
The Hope Metro gathered that the accused met the victim online and they hooked up at hotel in Ijoka, where they had both been engaged in sexual relationship.
The Public Relations Officer of NSCDC in the state, DSC Aidamenbor Daniel, in a statement, said when Olajumoke asked for her payment after the sexual act, the suspect showed her the recorded video of their act and threatened to upload same on social media.
“Using the recorded video as a threat, Oluwayomi Temitope kept asking for more sexual favours from Olajumoke and when she could not take it any longer, she reported to the NSCDC.
“A sting operation was carried out where the lady was asked to honour the suspect’s invitation at the hotel whenever he demanded for her again.
“The suspect was arrested and he has since made confessional statement with the presentation of the recorded video as exhibit,”the spokesperson said.
He said the suspect will be charged to court to serve as deterrent to others who are in the habit of cyber stalking and blackmailing.
