The State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ondo State Command, Prince Oluyemi Joshua Ibiloye, has urged Corps members to steer clear of cybercrimes and other social vices.
Addressing the 2024 Batch ‘B’ (Stream 1) Corps members at the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Ikare-Akoko, Prince Ibiloye emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and integrity during their service year.

The Commandant highlighted that the NYSC is a disciplined youth organization that will not tolerate any negative behaviours associated with youthful exuberance.
He implored the Corps members, whom he described as future leaders, to avoid entanglement in cybercrimes and other vices that disrupt society.
He noted that some youths bring undesirable attitudes and behaviours from their homes or schools, but the NYSC period provides an opportunity to cultivate better habits and values.

Ibiloye, a tactical and terrorism neutralization expert, reminded the Corps members of the NSCDC’s mandate to protect lives and properties alongside other security agencies.
He warned that anyone violating the law would face appropriate consequences, underscoring the importance of abiding by the laws of the land.
While describing the NYSC period as a crucial phase for self-discovery and personal development, the commandant assured the Corps members of their safety in Ondo State, praising the state’s peaceful atmosphere and the competence of its security agency leaders.

As the 20th NSCDC boss to lead the security outfit in Ondo State, Ibiloye reiterated the NYSC’s founding goal of fostering unity and integration among Nigeria’s diverse ethnic groups.

Earlier, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Sam Amaramiro Pepple, dispelled any fears or misconceptions about the state, highlighting the commitment of security agencies to the NYSC scheme.
Pepple assured the Commandant that the Corps members are dedicated nation-builders who uphold the NYSC’s objectives and values
