NSF: MOC withdraws Canoeing from Edo 2020

The Main Organising Committee (MOC)of the 2020 National Sports Festival holding in Edo state has withdrew Canoeing from feature at the festival due to the Canoeing Federation to fulfill its pledge.

In a letter signed by the Permanent Secretary,Ministry of Youth & Sports Development and Chairman of the Main Organising Committee, Mr Gabriel Aduda.

“The host state through it letter on February 25,2020 has advised the MOC to withdraw the sport of Canoeing from the list of sports featuring at the festival.

The letter stated further that the state could not provide a suitable venue and failure by the Canoeing Federation to fulfill its pledge to dredge and establish a standard Canoeing training and competition facility in Edo state had made it impossible to feature at the Games.
