NSF: Ondo contingent receives first Jab, resumes camping today

Ahead of the National Sports Festival (NSF)slated for Edo State, Ondo State has meet up with all the conditions reeled out by the Local Organising Committee (LOC)for participating states at national fiesta.
The Edo 2020 Local Organising Committee had stated that participating states at the forthcoming National Sports Festival must conduct COVID-19 test for their athletes and their officials and ensure they are all vaccinated.
Ondo State contingent had earlier conducted the COVID- 19 test and subsequently being vaccinated yesterday to show their seriousness in not only to participate at the national fiesta but to surpass their Abuja 2018 feat.
Speaking with the Sporting Hope at the state Sports complex in Akure,the venue of the vaccination, the council’s General Manager, Mr Henry Omoyele Babatunde said having fulfilled all the obligations to participate at the National festival, the state contingent will today resume close camping for intensive training.
He added that we expect all our athletes and their officials to be in camp at the sports council to under- go intensive training between now and till our departure to Edo State.
“Despite several postponements of the games, which had lower the morale of athletes all over, with God on our side, we will do our best to do the state proud at the festival, he said.”
