NSF2020: Sports ministry holds NEC meeting today

As part of efforts to promote sports development in Nigeria, especially amidst the current global pandemic, the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development is inviting the general public to participate in a virtual meeting of the Extraordinary National Council on Sports.

The virtual meeting, which is slated to hold today by 3:00 pm, is organised to chart a way forward on the postponed 20th National Sports Festival (Edo 2020), the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) among other spots related issues in the country.

Prominent participants expected at the meeting include; the Deputy Governor of Edo state Rt. Hon. Philip Shuaibu who is also the chairman of the Local Organising Committee of Edo 2020, state commissioners and permanent secretaries in charge of sports, chairmen of states sports commissions, general managers of states sports council and directors in charge of sports across the states in Nigeria among others.
