NUJ Chairman hails Elegbeleye over Ondo media games sponsorship

Winners have emerged in the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, Ondo State Council 2023 Press Week Indoor Games played at the Union secretariat at Alagbaka, Akure.

Ondo State Radiovision Corporation OSRC and Orange FM Media Group Shone like Stars as two of their staff, Akintunde Akinsemola and Jighimon Ebiemi  emerged winners in WHOT and Draught respectively in the games sponsored by NUJ Patron and Current Chairman of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Gbenga Elegbeleye.

Joseph Adesuyan of African Independent Television (AIT) defeated last edition’s winner and his runner up to clinch first position in Table Tennis.

Anthony Adetoye of state information also coasted home with first prize in the traditional game (Ayo Olopon) and Mrs Kemi Olatunde of The Hope Newspaper emerged winner in Ludo.

Ayodeji Moradeyo of TVC, came second in Table Tennis and Ayo Olopon, Olusola Oke of News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) , Adewale Bashiru of Crest FM and Mrs Olatunji Olubunmi of Adaba were second in Draught,WHOT and Ludo respectively.

Saheed Ibrahim of The Hope, Sunday Ajibola of State Information, Mrs Tola Gbadamosi, Temitope Tooke Awoyemi of OSRC all came third in WHOT, Draught, Table Tennis and Ayo Olopon respectively.

The NUJ Chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite while congratulating the winners, commended the sponsor, Gbenga Elegbeleye for adding colours to this year’s press week indoor games competition with bountiful prizes for all the winners in different categories.

Adegbite described the second Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation as one of the strongest pillars of the pen profession in the state and in the country at large.
