NUJ partners PSTI on training

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has concluded arrangements to partner the Ondo state Public Service Training Institute, (PSTI), Ilara-Mokin, to improve the academic qualifications of media professionals in the state.
This was made known when the new executives of the union paid a courtesy visit on the Director-General of the institute, Mr Kayode Ogundele where it was agreed that NUJ members would benefit from the various academic programmes of the training school.
Ondo state Chairman of NUJ, Comrade Adetona Aderoboye expressed delight over the collaboration noting that it would benefit members of the Union and other personnel in the media industry and other sectors.
Responding, the Director-General explained that the institute would soon sign agreements with Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, and the International Institute of Journalism (IIJ) on how to use PSTI as campus for postgraduate and diploma programmes for different personnel from the public and private sectors.
Ogundele said the institute has capacity to train professionals from all management cadres commending Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for adequate funding of the school to deliver on its mandate.
