He said the athletes have been engaging in intense trainings for more than three months saying the five days camping was to give them closed monitoring ahead of the 6th National Youth Games.
He said with the attitude of the athletes in training there is a very high hope that Ondo State will do well at the national youth fiesta.
He thanked the government for ensuring there is an end to protest in the sports council with the prompt payment of the athletes allowance.
According to him, “regular payment of athletes allowances is a morale booster not to the athletes alone but their coaches and the entire management, our working place is now peaceful.
Everybody is now concentrating on their schedule of duty without fear of protest and gate locking.”
