NYG: Ondo boxers eager for success

Ondo State under 15 boxers are eager to do well at the forthcoming National Youth Games (NYG) slated for Ilorin, Kwara State, Coach Segun Olalehin has said.
Olalehin in a chart with Sporting Hope revealed that the young boxers are in a high spirit to do the state proud at the games.
He said: we are going to build on the success recorded at the Edo 2020 National Sports Festival, where boxing gave the state a gold, Silver and bronze medals.
“With the enthusiasm in our training I’m sure both the boys and girls would have a good outing in Ilorin. We have all the time to prepare ahead of the games unlike two years ago that we had little or no time to prepare, despite that we were able to show something for our participation at the fifth National Youth Games.
The trio of Bukola Ogunlade, Esan Donald and Sunday Toluwalase who spoke Onbehalf of other boxers promised to be a good ambassador of the state by winning gold at the mundial.
They said their aim going to the games is to win good medals for the state.
According to them, “no opponent can intimidate us with the training we are receiving from our coaches, we are confidence of good outing.”
“We are going to make the state happy at the competition,” they said.
