Oba Olajide celebrates one year coronation anniversary
The Iresi of Osi kingdom in Akure North Local Government area of Ondo State, Ilufemiloye 1, Oba Olajide David Okunato, has celebrated his one year coronation anniversary in a grand style.
The elaborate ceremony which was held over the weekend in his palace was attended by notable men, dignitaries, and representatives from various kingdoms and communities.
The celebration of Oba Olajide David Okunato’s one year on the throne was a testament to the unity and strength of Osi Kingdom, and it marked the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the kingdom under his reign.
It was a momentous occasion for the people of Osi as they came together to celebrate their king and the progress that has been witnessed under his leadership.
Addressing guests at the ceremony, Oba Olajide Okunato expressed his gratitude to God for His faithfulness and thanked all and sundry for their support during his first year as the king of Osi kingdom.
He also appreciated Ondo State government for bestowing upon him the Staff of Office.
The Monarch, however, expressed his commitment to continue to work towards the development and prosperity of Osi Kingdom.
He dedicated the Anniversary to his late parents and declared every last Saturday of November as Osi Day
As part of the anniversary celebrations, Oba Olajide conferred chieftaincy title on a seven-year-old boy, Chief Omogbolahan Ibitoye Samuel, as the SOBALOJU OF OSI Kingdom.
Additionally, Chief Temilade Falowo was also honoured with the title of YEYE ‘TUASE OF OSI Kingdom.

The ceremony featured various traditional performances, cultural displays which added glamour to the ceremony and speeches from various chiefs and community leaders.
Also, quiz competition among secondary schools and games organized by the newly inaugurated Osi Development Forum (ODF) chaired by Mr Adenegan Kolawole . Oba Olajide made the ceremony a more unique one.
The anniversary celebration was graced by dignitaries such as the Ondo State Commissioner for Justice, Sir Charles Titiloye,, Osolo of Isolo, Oba Dr. Edward Kolawole Adewole, and other traditional rulers, sons and daughters of the Kingdom as well as other dignitaries.
