Oba preaches peace, unity as Isinkan celebrates Day

The air was electricfied with anticipation, the streets alive with vibrant colours and infectious joy.

         People from all corners of the land, dressed in their finest traditional attires, converged in the heart of Isinkan Kingdom in Akure South Local Government of Ondo State to celebrate a day that had been etched in their hearts for generations.

It was Isinkan Day, a grand carnival-like spectacle where the rich cultural heritage of the kingdom was proudly on display.

As the sun bathed the ancient community in a golden glow, an unprecedented number of revelers gathered, their faces alight with excitement.

This was the day they had long awaited, the day they had yearned for, and now it had finally arrived. Joy was palpable, a shared emotion that united everyone present in a collective celebration of history and tradition.

Dignitaries and luminaries from every sphere of influence graced the occasion, mingling with the people in a rare show of unity.

Captains of industry, esteemed traditional rulers, and powerful political figures joined the euphoric celebrations, their presence adding an air of significance to the event.

At the center of it all stood His Royal Majesty, Oba Oluwagbemiga Ojo, Olofin Adimula, the Iralepo of Isinkan Kingdom.

With a majestic aura and a heart full of gratitude, he praised the Almighty for making this day possible. He acknowledged every contribution, big and small, that had brought this vision to life.

Oba Adimula’s voice rang out with a message of peace and unity, urging all indigenes, residents, and visitors to live harmoniously.

“A society devoid of rancour,” he proclaimed, “will witness unparalleled development.” His words resonated deeply, setting the tone for a day of joyous celebration and cultural pride.

The High Chiefs, Chiefs, honorary chiefs, and residents of the community paid homage to the monarch, as they danced in their various regalia to showcase the distinct culture of the Isinkan community.

Oba Adimula gave special thanks to the Ondo State Government, led by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for supporting the community in every area and sought more in terms of infrastructure development like roads, schools, and health centers in the entire kingdom.

The state Governor, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa, who was represented by the Commissioner of Physical Planning, Mr. Olugbenga Olaniyi, advised that the existing peace being witnessed in the kingdom should be maintained to allow more government presence.

He commended the monarch for upholding the traditional values of his forefathers.

To make the ceremony more colourful, the people in the community dressed in various attire to celebrate the day, as various groups and associations displayed their culture to add flavour to the ceremony.

The celebration was also used to launch the Isinkan community’s five billion Naira (N5 billion) development fund to build infrastructure that will make the town better among its peers.

The Chairman of the Planning Committee for this year’s Isinkan Day, His Highness, Olumuyiwa Akintola Aguda, thanked all  stakeholders who made the first Isinkan Day celebration a success.

The Gbobaniyi of Isinkan Land, Chief (Prince) Samuel Ijiti who spoke on behalf of other Chiefs, advised them to cooperate with the monarch, saying that with maximum cooperation, mountains would be surmounted.
