Obas’ Cup: Akure South beat Akure North 2-1

Akure South representatives have defeated Akure North 2-1 in the ongoing Obas’ Cup competition.
The competition decided at the Ijapo Housing/field saw Sola Blessing struck to give his side the lead in the 17th minute.
Efforts by Akure North to get a leveller were unsuccessful as the first ended in favour of Akure South local government.
Few minutes into the first half, Samuel Ajibade cancelled the deficit to increase the tempo of the game.
Both sides were eager to grab the maximum point as they took the game to each other to the admiration of fans.
David Joseph made the difference in the 88th minute after he out and scored the winning goal for Akure South Local Government.
In a chat with sports Journalists, Coach Banjo Adepoju applauded both teams for displaying good football artistry.
He commended Akure North team, saying they have potential and good players.
