Obesere becomes Agbaakin Bobagunwa of Yoruba land

Abass Akande, the Fuji crooner popularly known as Obesere has been conferred with the chieftaincy title of Agbaakin Bobagunwa of Yoruba land.
The Olowu of Kuta, Oba Adekunle Oyelude conferred on the Fuji star and his wife the titles of Agbaakin Bobagunwa of Yoruba land and Yeye Agbaakin Bobagunwa of Yoruba land respectively at Kuta in Osun state.
The chieftaincy installation ceremony had the presence of many monarchs in the state and well wishers.
Addressing the monarchs and the crowd that followed Abass Akande to the installation ceremony, Oba Oyelude said that Abass Akande deserves the title for his past good deeds to Owu and its people.
He added that he and the Fuji crooner had history of long relationship that has blossomed into a family knit.
Going down historical lane, Oba Oyelude disclosed that as the grandson of Oduduwa from Ajibosin progenitor, he has every right to such title installation as he can vow for the integrity of Abass Akande in all ramifications.
In his response, Obesere promised to continue to project the image of Yoruba land in good light, promising not to do anything that can bring disrepute to Yoruba land.
Describing the honour as a big one he promised to wax a record to eulogise and thank all the Yoruba monarchs that considered him fit for that honour.
The Ibadan born musician also promised to use his new face to elevate and help the young ones as he has always been doing in the past as the post has challenged him to do more.
