ODHA ’ll soon pass 2023 budget

Ondo State House of Assembly will this week pass into law the year 2023 budget.

The Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation , Akintomide Akinrogunde gave the assurance while speaking during an interview after  wrapping up the four-day 2023 budget defence for Ministries, Departments and Agencies,(MDAs) in the State.

Akinrogunde said residents of the State  will have no cause to worry in the coming year, noting that the 2023 working proposal when passed into law, will definitely address the present economic realities.

He posited that the programme also gave the Committee the opportunity to identify challenges some MDAs were facing, noting that the legislature will do the needful.

Earlier, The Commissioner For Budget and Economic Planning, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan explained that the budget proposal was not just put together overnight but carefully planned to meet the expectations of the masses.

He said that the proposed working document is expected to improve all sectors of the economy in the coming year.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had few weeks ago presented a Budget of N272.735,638,983.00 billion for the 2023 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly.

The budget, tagged “BUDGET OF SHARED PROSPERITY’ is higher than that of the 2022 fiscal year which was N199,282,437,000.00 billion .
