ODHA passes 2022 Ondo budget into law

Ondo State House of Assembly has passed into law the 2022 appropriation bill with a total projection of N199,282,487.00 billion. The estimate is meant settle both recurrent, capital expenditures,debt services and statutory transfer.

Chairman, Mr Sunday Olajide while presenting the budget estimate noted that the projection was increased by 3.6 percent of N6,944,056,000.00 billion bringing it to over N199 billion as against the initial proposal of N191,638,387.00 billion

Olajide noted that N112,915,604,011 billion is for recurrent expenditure while N885,666,832,989.00 billion is for capital expenditure.

The Committee also recommended that all MDAs should collaborate with the State Internal revenue service in ensuring that the goals and objectives of Government to boost her internally generated revenue are pursued with all seriousness.

It strongly suggested that all MDAs that have desired to exceed their revenue generation target should be given the required support and impetus to succeed.

The Speaker, Bamidele Oleyelogun, in his ruling commended the committee members for being thorough and ensured quick passage of the Bill. The Bill was given the nod after passing through the third reading.

Oleyelogun noted that the 2022 fiscal budget of Economic Re-engineering  will further drive the growth of the economy and commencement of new projects and programmes that are crucial to the development of the state.
