ODHA passes vote of confidence on Akeredolu

Ondo State House of Assembly yesterday passed a vote of confidence on governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
At a plenary presided over by the Speaker, Mr Bamidele Oleyelogun, the lawmakers who took turn to give appraisals of the achievements of the governor, equally endorsed him for second term to enable him the opportunity of consolidating on his noble achievements.
While saying that the governor is a man of the people who has been meeting the yawning and aspirations of the populace since inception,the parliamentarian affirmed that he has fulfilled the blue print of his administration through numerous accomplishments.
Noting that despite meeting numerous shortcomings from the last administration, the lawmakers posited that he has remain focus and fulfilled the promises of his electioneering campaign of 2015.
The lawmakers noted that the governor has been very supportive in the cause of performing their legislative business, evident in the new mobility and renovation of legislative building.
After a robust debate by the lawmakers on a topic “Who is Mr Governor’, the Speaker, Oleyelogun ruled that the governor having put on the spirit of determination and distinguished himself in every sphere of life for the manifestation of great achievements and good governance deserved to be given another opportunity to serve the state.
The house unanimously agreed that this will enable the state to consolidate on the giants gotten so far.
Consequently, the house after a robust debate on a bill sent from the executive on a law to provide for regulation of outdoor structures for the display of signage, hoarding and advertisement in Ondo State and for connected purposes committed it to committee stage for proper scrutiny. The committee is headed by a lawmaker representing Ilaje state constituency 1,Prince Abayomi Akinruntan.
The lawmakers noted that the bill is very important and need to be given accelerated passage in order to regulate and give specification as related to advert placement in the state.
In the meantime, the house also set up adhoc committees on education, headed by a member representing Akure south constituency 2 Mr Toluwani Borokini,and welfare and cash allocation, headed by a member representing Ose state constituency, Mr Feyide Oluyede
