The Chairman, Ondo State House of Assembly Committee on Sustainable Development Goal and Intergovernmental Affairs, Fatai Atere has rated the performance of the management for the Agency high in reaching out to other a million households and about 750 individuals in the state.
He stated this when he led other members on a familiarisation visit to the Sustainable Development Goal and Intergovernmental Affairs in Akure.
According to him, the visit became imperative to familiarize with the Management of the Agency and ensure robust relationship for the development of the State.
Atere appreciated the Agency for their efforts in helping the needy and the vulnerable in the State.
While advising the Management to always carry the House of Assembly along in whatever they are doing, he opined that the importance of SDG cannot be overlooked.
Other Committee Members applauded the Agency for the great achievements recorded in the State, urging them not to relent in order to achieve the set goal.
Earlier in her address, Special Adviser to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Public and Intergovernmental relations, Mrs Olubunmi Ademosu said that the Agency is responsible for getting the poor together to also enjoy dividends of democracy.
She added that the Agency has a social register with over one million households and about 750 individual families that have been involved.
“I can say that we have done what is humanly possible to give back to our people and with your cooperation, we will be able to spread it more”
She pleaded for cordial relationship, cooperation and understanding from the 10th Assembly.
