ODHA reinstates two lawmakers

Ondo State House of Assembly has reinstated two lawmakers earlier suspended.
They are the legislators representing Ese Odo State Constituency, Success Torhukerhijo and his counterpart, representing Ilaje State Constituency 2, Favour Tomomewo.
The seats of the lawmakers were in August this year declared vacant following a letter from the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ondo State chapter.
The state APC Chairman, Ade Adetimehin had in the letter, requested the House to declare vacant their seats, saying that both lawmakers allegedly participated fully in the activities of another party, PDP, during the last governorship and House of Assembly Primary elections in the State.
At plenary presided over by the Speaker, Bamidele Oleyelogun, The Clerk of the House, Jayeola Benjamin read the letter written by the APC Chairman Ade Adetimehin to the House, requested the above-names be pardoned and reinstated having communicated to the party and regretted their actions and inactions as well as the embarrassment done to the party.
The Majority Leader, Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi moved the motion that their letters be considered and be pardoned and was seconded by Samuel Edamisan.
The Speaker, Bamidele Oleyelogun who ruled for their reinstatements, ordered the Clerk to inform the State Accountant general to restore their allowances and entitlements and also communicate INEC as well.
Oleyelogun called for their cooperation to further enshrine peace in the chamber.
Also, a bill for a law to provide for the lotteries regulatory commission was passed into law.
While presenting the report, the Chairman of House Committee on Commerce and lndustry, Rasheed Elegbele explained that the bill when passed into law would improve the internally generated revenue of the State.
The plenary was adjourned to Thursday next week.
