ODHA Speakership: Let status quo remain – ADUF

Ahead of the inauguration of the 9th Assembly in Ondo state, Akure Division Unity Forum (ADUF), has urged the state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, to maintain the current status quo in the House.

ADUF which comprises four of the six  Local Government areas that constitute Ondo Central senatorial district of the state including Akure South, Akure North, Ifedore and Idanre, specifically said it was in support of the nomination of the current speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Bamidele Oleyelogun to continue as speaker in the next 9th Assembly.

According to the letter signed by the Secretary of ADUF, Prof Olu Aboluwoye, a copy of which was made available to The Hope, it was the resolution of the meeting of the Division to ensure the speakership of the House remains in Ifedore Local Government area which is still in Ondo Central senatorial district of the state, while Secretary to the State Government, SSG, should remain in Akure.

The letter read, “I humbly write to convey the resolution of the meeting of Akure Division Unity Forum held on Tuesday, 2nd April, 2019 that the Division supports the nomination of David Bamidele Oleyelogun as the Hon. Speaker in the next 9th Assembly.
